El Salvador faces significant food insecurity exacerbated by climate shocks, with 95% of the population living in high-risk areas such as the Dry Corridor. Recurrent droughts and floods, worsened by the El Niño effect, disrupt agricultural production, leading to decreased food availability and increased food prices.
